Sarah Palin on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader
OK, first, props to Romesh Ratnesar on his article on Sarah Palin: After watching her two main interviews (Couric and Gibson), Mr. Ratnesar encapsulated my inter-turmoil in watching these… it was like watching a high school studen BS on a book report they hadn’t read, yet a whole lot worse.
1. If your aim is to make people feel incredibly uncomfortable, Sarah Palin’s interviews out-do Curb Your Enthusiasm by a long shot. Take some notes Larry David: you NEVER made me feel remotely as uncomfortable as I felt watching either of the two aforementioned interviews.
2. Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? : Can you imagine how you would feel watching her on that show? See point number one above.
I generally find it funny to point out absurdities and a person’s general foibles: however in this case, I am down right scared. Here’s a person who seriously has not the intellectual capability, the education, nor the experience to even come close to sitting in the presidency. Even Bush Jr., as absolutely awful as I believe his presidency will be regarded in historical contexts, had the second and third points to his credit.
Eek. Couric held her professional composure, but I could see behind the veil her thinking that this bitch really actually knows absolutely nothing- how scary is this?
